800 years old Venkateshwara Swami Temple, Venkatapur

I was searching for places around Hyderabad to visit as my M Tech first semester exams got over and till now didn’t visit any places here. I didn’t post anything here from a long time as the exams spanned for almost a fortnight. While searching on the internet I got the info that a temple which is 800 years old is situated very near to the college where am working.

Recently a board is also put up at Jodimetla junction giving direction to temple

The temple outer wall looks old but alteration has given modern look making us not to feel that the temple is of 800 years old

We visited that place around 6:00 PM. No one was available there except a few who were swimming in the pond in front of temple, so couldn’t get much information about it. But it is believed to be ‘Swayambhu’ meaning self manifested.

For visitors, this Venkateshwara Swami temple is situated in Venkatapur village near Jodimetla on the Uppal to Warrangal highway.
